Escape, Unplug and Reconnect with Nature

At Tranwell Farm Campsite, we believe camping is about slowing down, breathing deeply, and embracing the simple pleasures of being outdoors. Nestled in peaceful countryside and surrounded by birdsong, open skies and wildlife, our off-grid site offers a chance to truly switch off - no electric, no distractions, just space to rest, recharge and enjoy the beauty of nature.

Our tent pitches are large pitches mown into the long grass with room for 1 family tent or 2 one man tents (an extra pup tent or gazebo can be added at an additional cost).

When booking please enter the number of adults and children you are looking for a pitch for at the top of the booking page so that the correct options are displayed.

Woodside Pitches 1 to 3  are sheltered pitches by the trees and enjoy the morning sun.

Meadow Pitches 4 and 5 are mown into the meadow which enjoy the sun for a bit longer of an evening.

*Please do supervise children at all times and do not let them run over other guests pitches.  Unfortunately due to the nature of the site we cannot allow ball games.

Our tent pitches are accessible by car to drop off your tent and belongings then we ask that you park up in the grass parking area at the entrance to the site until the end of your holiday unless you require your car for accessibility reasons.

All our camping pitches have their own fire pit area and picnic table, fire pits are available to collect next to the welcome hut and logs are available to pre order for collection from inside the welcome hut.

"We welcome guests looking for a quiet, relaxing escape — Tranwell is not the place for parties, loud music or rowdy nights. We keep things calm and respectful so that everyone can enjoy the sense of well-being that comes with truly getting away from it all."

Sustainable tourism

We are passionate about sustainable tourism and we operate as an Eco off grid campsite so no electric pitches.  But we do have amazing dark skies and an abundance of nature.

Pets

We are happy for you to bring well behaved pets but please do not leave them on their own or allow them to bark all the time and it is very important that you keep them on a lead at all times as we are a working farm with sheep and lambs.
