love the idea of camping, but fancy a few home comforts along the way?
There’s a proper double bed, a small camping kitchen outside for cooking your supper, and a fire pit for sitting around as the evening draws in. Inside, the little hobbit log-burning stove makes the pods cosy on chilly nights, while the solid wooden walls help keep them cool in summer.
There’s something wonderfully simple about a pod stay. Arrive with the dog, unpack your bags, light the stove and settle in. Cook something outside, sit by the fire and listen to the owls calling from the woodland.
Misty mornings with a duvet wrapped around you, make a cup of tea and watch the sun come up over the countryside before the rest of the farm gets going.
Both pods have their own private outdoor space, fire pit and BBQ rack, so although you're part of the campsite, they each have their own little corner to escape to.
Hawthorn Pod
Hawthorn is our more secluded pod, tucked away in a quieter spot with a lovely feeling of being away from it all. It’s a good choice if you’re looking for a little more peace and privacy, while still having all the simple pleasures of a camping stay.
Rosie's Pod
Rosie is a little closer to the heart of the campsite, but still has her own private space and a cosy, tucked-away feel. She also has her own separate toilet shed, making her a particularly handy choice if you want the simplicity of camping without having to trek to the campsite facilities in the middle of the night.
Both pods are deliberately rustic and uncomplicated. They are a more comfortable way to enjoy proper camping, with a warm bed, your own little stove and the great outdoors just outside the door.
They're cosy in winter, cool in summer and a lovely base for walks, countryside adventures or chilling out with a good book and doing very little at all.
Bedding: You can bring your own bedding or sleeping bags, or we can provide bedding for an additional charge. Kitchen equipment is provided for cooking, so you can simply arrive, unpack and start enjoying your stay.

Toasty log burning stove with a starter bucket of logs and everything you need to light it, to keep you warm and cosy.(please be really careful to keep children away from this as it gets very hot).

Pets
We warmly welcome dogs at Tranwell Farm and know they’re very much part of the family. You will have access to walks around the farm, our on-site nature trail and dedicated dog walking field, plenty of space for tails to wag. We also provide a thoughtful dog welcome pack with towels, throws, a water bowl and a few treats to make them feel just as at home as you do.
